 OUR MISSION

The exposure to different cultures and languages is a crucial component of a child's development. Mi Escuelita is dedicated to integrating the Spanish language into student's live as well as exposing them to Hispanic traditions and holidays.

Incorporating the values of Hispanic cultures, we encourage children to share, cooperate and have respect for others. Activities include art and crafts projects, music and movement and story time - all done in Spanish.

Mi Escuelita seeks to enrich the minds and spirits of young children during their most brilliant stage of development through the discovery of the Spanish language.  We seek to teach them self esteem, cognitive skills and appreciation for other cultures.

The foundation of our program is the educational advantage and intellectual stimulation gained through early exposure to a foreign language. Research shows that exposure to a foreign language accelerates children's overall mental development, including their creative thinking skills and math abilities.

 ABOUT US

“Mi Escuelita” (My Little School) is owned and operated by a bicultural and trilingual woman. She has a dream of providing children in the Fairfield County community the opportunity to learn Spanish and learn more about different Latin American cultures. Her dream was realized through the creation of Mi Escuelita. As a mother of two children herself, she understands the challenges inherent in finding ways to inspire one’s child to learn another language.

Developing the motivation to become fluent in a second language can be especially difficult if Spanish classes are absent in school or available only on a very limited basis, or if most of the child’s peers speak English only.
Mi Escuelita was created with these challenges in mind, and teaching is geared towards hands-on learning that will feel interesting and exciting to the child.

Mi Escuelita  with its bright, inviting, private and exclusive classroom, is located in Lorely’s home in Norwalk, CT.  She is incorporating to our program different Spanish classes to children of all ages and adults, in a full-immersion environment.
